What is the Soft-Touch Lasik?

Soft-touch LASIK is a modified version of LASIK surgery designed to enhance patient comfort by minimizing pressure on the eye during the procedure. It achieves this by using a gentler approach to create the corneal flap, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable experience for the patient.

This technique is particularly beneficial for individuals who may be anxious about undergoing LASIK surgery or have concerns about discomfort during the procedure.

Will Soft-Touch Lasik work for me?

With advancements in LASIK procedures, more Nashville, TN residents could be suitable candidates for this surgery. Even if LASIK was previously deemed impractical, it's worth exploring again, as only an experienced ophthalmologist can determine candidacy accurately. Generally, candidates should be at least 18 years old, have sufficient corneal thickness, and may consider alternative refractive surgeries like photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) if other medical concerns exist.

Is this procedure covered by insurance?

While LASIK is not covered by insurance providers, we do offer some finance options to help with the cost of the procedure. Third-party credit services CareCredit and Alphaeon provide financing options for elective healthcare procedures and treatments. We also offer 25-50% off if you attend a webinar or are referred.
